Kick-off Meeting in Nicosia, Cyprus, 15-16 January 2025.

On the 15th of January 2025, EUSOME officially kicked off its activities, bringing together all 16 partners in Cyprus for a 2-day kick-off meeting. During the kick-off meeting, each consortium partner had the chance to present their organization and highlight their specific role in the project. This provided a comprehensive understanding of the collective expertise and the unique contributions of each partner.

Initial discussions were held regarding the project’s goals and the strategic actions planned for the next 48 months. These conversations helped align everyone with a shared vision and set clear objectives for the project’s path forward.

 The meeting was hosted at the KIOS Center of Excellence (KIOS CoE) at the University of Cyprus campus. Highlights included a tour of the University of Cyprus Library and the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence Lab facilities and research infrastructures, as well as a live demonstration of KIOS state-of-the-art drone technologies.

Bringing all partners together in person created an atmosphere of open and constructive dialogue. The meeting facilitated the exchange of valuable ideas and strengthened the collaborative spirit that defines the EUSOME Excellence Hub project. It also reinforced our collective commitment to this innovative initiative, setting a positive foundation for the work ahead.
